Fairfield University offers four Master's programs in Engineering, namely, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Management of Technology. This latter uses MBA courses, as well. In addition, the School offers several certificate programs, such as Network Technologies, Web Development, Information Security, and Automated Manufacturing. The graduation requirements consist of 36 credit hours for each one of the four Master's programs, including a two-term capstone project. Classes are mostly held in evening time slots allowing for day-time employment. Fairfield is located on the Connecticut shoreline, about 50 miles northeast from New York City.

Fairfield University is surrounded by a large number of technology companies, banks, and health care and insurance companies, and provides opportunities to Master's students for internships in these companies. International students avail themselves of opportunities for curriculum practical training and optional practical training. Each Master's program has several tracks that allow students to concentrate on the specialty of their choice. The number of students in each class is between 10 and 20, affording the opportunity for close interactions between students and the faculty. For a full time student, the Master's degree can be earned in two years.

All the engineering laboratories are networked and provided with the latest hardware and software for the purposes of graduate and undergraduate classes. Java and C++ are the primary computer languages taught and used. Faculty are experienced educators and with excellent skills in the area of their specialty.
